Terms of Service
Effective: 2026-08-24
This document was drafted without a lawyer, by the team that runs EMBRIT. It's written in plain language on purpose. If a clause here ever conflicts with what a court would require, the law wins — this isn't a substitute for legal advice, to us or to you.

1. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or post on EMBRIT. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger — see the Privacy Policy for what happens if we learn otherwise. Accounts sign in with Discord or Google. Additional sign-in options may be added later. We never ask for or store a password.
2. Your content
You own what you post to the Forge — threads, replies, profile content. Posting grants EMBRIT a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as part of running and promoting the site — for example, a thread staying visible after you close your account elsewhere, or an excerpt showing up in search results. Delete a post and the license for that post ends; we can't reach into caches or archives outside our control.
You're responsible for what you post. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share, or anything that breaks the Code of Conduct below.
3. Code of conduct
The Forge is not an anything-goes space. Prohibited everywhere on the site:
- Defamation or knowingly false statements about real people.
- Harassment, threats, or targeted abuse of another Embriter.
- Piracy links, key resale, or other content facilitating IP theft.
- Ripped game assets, extracted audio, or official game art (Paradox, Embark, or any other publisher we cover) posted as your own.
- Spam, scams, or automated posting outside an approved integration.
- Content that violates DMCA, COPPA, or applicable law (see below).
4. Moderation
Moderators act at their discretion to keep the Forge usable: they can remove content, lock or delete threads, and suspend or ban accounts for violating this Code of Conduct or these Terms. Every moderator action is logged for accountability. Decisions aren't guaranteed to be uniform, case by case, and there's no formal appeals process beyond contacting us directly (see Contact).
5. Embers
Embers track participation on the Forge. They have no cash value, can't be bought, sold, transferred, or redeemed for money or goods, and aren't a virtual currency. We may change how embers are earned or displayed at any time.
6. No paywall
Free access to EMBRIT's content is core to what this site is. If we ever add a paid tier, it removes ads for that account and nothing else — it will never gate editorial content, forum reading, or forum posting behind a paywall.
7. Intellectual property & repeat infringers
EMBRIT is an unofficial fan site — see our attribution notice. If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, see our DMCA policy for how to file a notice.
Repeat infringer policy: an account that is the subject of three valid DMCA takedown notices is permanently terminated, in accordance with 17 U.S.C. §512(i).
8. Termination
Delete your account any time — see the Privacy Policy for how. We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms, including the Code of Conduct.
9. Disclaimers & liability
EMBRIT is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the content — ours or Embriters' — is accurate. To the fullest extent the law allows, EMBRIT and the people who run it aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.
EMBRIT is operated by Dowon Kim, doing business as Seedloop. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as EMBRIT grows. Material changes are noted on this page with an updated date above.
